While it’s true that a lot of travellers can bore the hind legs off a donkey with their pretentious drivel, there are plenty of diamonds in the rough and most of the best advice you will hear comes from other travellers. Guide books give you plenty of useful facts, but it’s your fellow travellers who paint the most vivid pictures.
